Based in Suwanee, Georgia, Jacob Kunz, PhD, oversees mechanical engineering teams in designing and building electromagnetic emission measurement systems for clients in the aerospace and defense industries. He manages a rolling docket of as many as 80 ongoing projects, representing more than $100 million in total sales. Dr. Jacob Kunz handles mechanical design for build-to-spec projects in which deliverable prototypes must attain 100 percent success rates.
Dr. Kunz has extensive knowledge of robotics and motion control theory, with an emphasis on how mechanical structures vibrate. He previously engaged with NSI-MI AMETEK as senior systems engineer. He also served as system architect and principal engineer for three major projects involving government prime defense contractors. Dr. Kunz developed and presented in-design review materials that met the rigorous requirements of customer teams of engineers.
Active with the Antenna Measurement Techniques Association, Dr. Jacob Kunz holds Project Management Professional certification through the Project Management Institute. He earned a PhD in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and has authored a number of technical publications in his field.
